The Lausanne Locket 1965 has a dark blue hardback cover. The Forward is a brings the need for more space and expanded facilities. The Locket is dedicated to Mr. Walter Raleigh Coppedge, with his changes (the lecture series, emphasis on critical thinking) has altered the atmosphere of Lausanne. Faculty/Staff section is lead by the Board of Directors & Mothers Club. New programs this year include typing, team sports, chorus, ballet, accelerated reading, arts and crafts, speech and dramatics and bridge lessons. Seniors have full page photographs followed by bios and causal photos. Underclassmen are shown in class officers and individual photo. This section ends with a great photo of the playground. Features section is introduced with a photo of a dance. Miss Lausanne and her attendants are followed with the Best of section. Organizations featured are Student Council, Honor Council, National Honor Society, House Council, Quill and Scroll, Locket, Columns, History Club, Sci-Mat Club, Latin Club, French Club, Spanish Club, Art Club,Chorus, and Dormitories. Lecturers Series and European Seminar plus Spring vacation in Mexico. Activities features Daughters of Alumnae and Library Service Guild and lots of snapshots. |
