The Lausanne Locket 1942 is in very good condition with a dark blue cover containing 65 pages. It was dedication to Mary Lucas Butler teacher. A photograph of Lausanne School on Central shares the page with a poem titled Lausanne written by C.R.K. The Co-Principals page has a new photo of Mrs. Jett but Miss Statler remains the same and that is followed by the faculty. The Best of Best showcases 6 seniors. May Galloway Snowden was selected as Miss Lausanne in 1942. The Graduating Class of 1941 and Chere Lausanne comes next. This was the first yearbook to show the Student Government Council and a separate photograph of the President Nathalie Latham. The senior section has a favorite quote with each photograph. In each grade section there are literary writings and drawing done by the students. Activities shown are Student Government Council, Red Cross, Riding Club,Dancing, Sub-Freshmen Baseball Team and Dramatics. Senior baby photos and several pages of Fun Snapshots close the book along with a poem and photograph in memory of Helen Schenck Smith, a teacher. |
